Vehicles to be Towed as Inclement Weather Approaches

(Fort Wayne, IN)-The Indiana State Police in Fort Wayne will begin clearing abandoned vehicles from State, Interstate and U.S. Highways in advance of the approaching weather system forecast for tonight and into tomorrow morning.

Contrary to the usual practice of tagging abandoned vehicles for 24 or 72 hours, all abandoned vehicles are being towed.  These vehicles will be towed to reduce the risk to other drivers and to allow snow removal equipment to safely clear the roadways.  All major highway systems in the 11 county coverage are of the Fort Wayne District shown below will be given priority.  If your vehicle is towed from one of the major roadways in any of these counties, contact the Fort Wayne Post at (260) 432-8661 for assistance in locating it.
