Trumpet Ensemble to Performance at Honeywell House

WABASH, Ind. – Dr. Brittany Hendricks and the Ball State University Fanfare Trumpet Ensemble will present “Herald: The Trumpet as a Cultural Heritage” at the Honeywell House on Tues. Oct. 4 at 7 p.m. Sponsorship is provided by John and Ana Gackenheimer.

The presentation explores the trumpet’s societal significance across centuries, cultures and geographical regions and makes the case for modern-day trumpet ensembles as a valuable and often untapped means of preserving this legacy. Dr. Hendricks and ensemble will come to the Honeywell House following a series of performances across the country including multiple appearances at the 2016 International Trumpet Guild Conference in Anaheim, California.

Admission to this event is free and open to the public however reservations are encouraged and may be made by calling (260) 563-2326 ext. 1.

The Honeywell House, owned and operated by the Honeywell Foundation, serves as a cultural house museum to the surrounding community and beyond.
