Troopers arrest five people on 38 criminal charges

PERU, IN- Sunday afternoon, a parole compliance check in Peru, IN, led to the arrests of Norman Titus, 52, Nichole Wilder, 35, Earl Wilder, 53, all from Peru, IN. Also arrested were John Marks, 48, Logansport, IN, and Phillip Lopez, 44, rural Kokomo, IN. Nichole Wilder, Earl Wilder, Titus, and Lopez were incarcerated in the Miami County Jail to face charges for possession of methamphetamine, possession of a controlled substance, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a syringe, and possession of heroin. Nichole and Earl Wilder also face maintaining a common nuisance charge while Lopez faces visiting a common nuisance charge. Marks was incarcerated on three separate Cass County arrest warrants for failure to appear for operating a vehicle while intoxicated, false informing, and operating a vehicle while never having been a license.  

Sunday at approximately 7:35 a.m., Trooper Steven Glass and Senior Trooper Mike Meiser were requested by Indiana State Parole to assist their officer with a compliance check on Earl Wilder’s residence at 2934 South 300 West Lot 220, Peru, IN. While assisting with the check troopers allegedly found suspected methamphetamine, MDMA, multiple syringes, heroin, drug paraphernalia, and marijuana. Officers also found Marks hiding inside a closet in the home.

Nichole and Earl Wilder, as well as Titus, reside in the home. Marks and Lopez were visiting.
