PERU,Indiana – Wednesday afternoon, Miami County Helping Hands held an open house for director Dave Thompson who is retiring from the organization. Mr. Thompson has done a lot for Miami County Helping Hands to help families and says this is a great organization.
Miami County Helping Hands opened in 2002. Co-Directors Diane Skillen and David Smith will take over for Mr. Thompson. They both say they have big shoes to fill.
Miami County Helping Hands as helped several people in need and volunteers have been doing a great job in keeping the organization going started by Hershel Manheart in 2002. Good Luck to Dave Thompson and his family on his retirement. Mr. Thompson will be sorely missed.
