A celebration of life will be from 10 – 11 a.m. Monday, February 5, 2018 at Solid Rock United Methodist Church, 485 Bennett Drive, Warren, Indiana. A memorial service will immediately follow at 11 a.m. Monday at Solid Rock Church with Pastor Paul Burris officiating. Burial will be in Lancaster Cemetery at a later date.

Susan was born on October 10, 1939 in Huntington, the daughter of Karl H. and Lena (Hefner) Bailey. She was a 1957 graduate of Huntington Township High School and she earned an Associate degree from International Business College. She married David B. Wechsler on August 31, 1993 in Gatlinburg, Tennessee. Susan retired from Pathfinder Services Transitional Housing Program in 2001. Previously she worked for North Central Airlines, Continental Airlines, Huntington Laboratories, Inc., and Bonsib Advertising. She was a member of Solid Rock United Methodist Church in Warren and a member of Big Brothers Big Sisters of America. She volunteered at Huntington Library, where she tutored and taught people to read; she also loved gardening.
Survivors include her husband David B. Wechsler of Huntington; daughters Nancy L. Neeper of Caldwell, Idaho and Amy L. Neeper of Chicago, Illinois; a brother, Joe H. (Sandra) Bailey of Huntington; grandchildren Eve and Hayden Jimenez; a great granddaughter, Rhya Henricks; a step daughter, DeeAnn R. (Randy) Snead of Huntington; a stepson, Kyle (Krysti) Wechsler of Fort Wayne, eight stepgrandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Her parents and a stepson, Wayne Allen Wechsler, precede her in death.
