PERU — The Indiana State Police District 16 Memorial Service took place this morning at the Peru Post.
ISP officials read the names of all ISP troopers who gave their lives in the line of duty.
Among those was Master Trooper David E Rich of Wabash, who was killed in the line of duty in July 2007.
Following the reading of the names, Peru High School student Garrett Rogers played Taps while fellow troopers and many members of the crowd saluted.
