WABASH,Indiana – The preparation for June’s First Friday began early this morning. The parking spaces along Miami Street closed at 11 am to get ready for tonight’s big events. Not only will the Peru Armature Circus be performing on Miami Street in front of the Charley Creek Inn Ice Cream and Candy Shoppe from 5 until 8 pm, members of the Marion-based Shakespearean troop Hoosier Shakes will also be performing on the Miami Street starting at 7 pm.

The Small Business Revolution on Main Street team is in town, including Shark Tank’s Robert Herjavec and Deluxe’s Amanda Brinkman, and a presentation will be given for the team at the Eagles Theatre starting at 4:30 today. Herjavec has been seen downtown on Friday participating in the video shoot by Texas-based Flow Nonfiction.

Parked in front of the Ice Cream and Candy Shoppe Friday morning was a little trailer brought down from St. Paul, Minnesota by Julie Gordon, Deluxe Corporation’s Director of Marketing Partnerships. MiBash News had a chance to speak to Gordon as she sat in her retro-style trailer and she previewed today’s activities downtown. The trailer has been outfitted with Small Business Revolution logos and Councilman Doug Adams is providing his red pickup truck so that Herjavec and Brinkman can tour the surrounding area when they are done with the afternoon’s video shoot.

Gordon said that she not surprised that people come to downtown Wabash from miles away to enjoy a First Friday or the Plaza Music Series at the Honeywell Center.

Gordon also mentioned that anyone can stop by the trailer tonight and get some Small Business Revolution “swag.”
