On March 19, 2020 at 6:46am Wabash County Central Dispatch received a call of a single vehicle accident on County Road 1400 North near County Road 500 East. The 911 caller stated that the vehicle had also caught fire. Officers and fire personnel on scene confirmed that the vehicle was occupied and the driver of the vehicle, Jacob Burton, age 20, of North Manchester was deceased. For an unknown reason, the vehicle left the roadway and collided with a tree. The accident is being investigated.
