WABASH,IN   On July 14, 2016, at approximately 6:13 p.m. Wabash City units were dispatched to the intersection of St. Rd 15 and U.S. 24 where a semi overturned. It was determined that the semi was loaded with hogs. The Wabash City Fire Department quickly began spraying water on the hogs in attempt to cool them while preparations were made to off load the hogs. Fortunately, a call was made to the Wabash County 4-H Fair and volunteers came with trucks and stock trailers. Wabash Big R loaned hog panels to build a temporary chute from the semi to awaiting trailers. Once all hogs were off loaded H & K Wrecker Service was able to raise the semi and trailer. The Indiana State Police Commercial Motor Vehicle Division was called to the scene for inspection of the semi.
