Self-defense classes to be held at Wabash County YMCA


WABASH, IN – The Wabash County YMCA is excited to announce a weekly Self-defense class
starting October 2, 2023.
Learn the basic skills necessary to protect yourself in difficult situations. This weekly class will
teach you how to be aware of your surroundings, effective but easy to remember moves in case
of an attack, and give you some peace of mind. This class is for ages 6 and up and two options
to choose from, beginner and intermediate. Sensei Mike Castro structures the class so that
people of all ages and abilities can learn self-defense techniques that will build confidence and
skills to keep you safe.
There will be two options to choose from: Monday class for beginners starting in October or
Thursday class for intermediate participants starting in November. Both classes are from 5:30
6:30 pm in the group exercise room.
$40 per Y-member per month and $70 per Non-member per month, call the Y to register
