Ruth Ann Cochran, age 87, a lifetime resident of Marion, IN, left this world surrounded by her loved ones, at 3:45 PM of February 16, 2018, in Colonial Oaks Health Care of Marion, IN,. She was born in Marion IN. September 28, 1930 to Francis and Marva ( Rice) Cochran.
She retired from Foster Forbes, of Marion, IN, after 40 years of employment. From 1946 to 1950 Ruth Ann was a cook at the old Spencer Hotel in Marion,. Ruth Ann was like a 2nd Mother to all of her Nieces and Nephews and acted as a special Grandmother to all that knew her. She enjoyed watching old western movies and was a person that was helpful to all of her family and friends . Ruth Ann was the family matriarch and will be greatly missed.
She is survived by her: Brother: James E. Cochran of Marion, IN. Sister-in-Law: Shirley Cochran of Upland, IN, Nephews: Steve (Kim) Cochran of Van Buren, IN., John (Tammy) Cochran of Indianapolis, IN, Nieces: Kelly (Michael) Thomas of Fort Wayne, IN, Ruth Cochran of Upland, IN, Buffy (Dwayne) McGinnis of Van Buren, IN. and Elizabeth (Don) Ostrowski of Fort Wayne, IN, 11 Great Nieces, 2 Great Nephews, 3 Great-Great Nieces, and 3 Great-Great Nephews.
Ruth Ann was preceded in death by her Mother and Father, Brother: Francis Cochran Jr. and Sister-in-Law Judy Cochran.

A service to celebrate Ruth Ann’s life will be at 11:00 am on Wednesday February 21, 2018 at Ferguson & Glancy Funeral Home.
