PERU, Ind. – The Peru Police Department will be conducting a hiring process on November 18, 2017 at 9:00 am at the Peru Fire Department, located on West Canal Street. The Peru Police Department is looking for eligible candidates who are between the ages of 21-35, have a minimum of a high school diploma or GED, have no felony or domestic violence convictions, and possess a valid driver’s license. Applications can be picked up at the Peru Police Department. Applications can be sent or hand delivered to 35 S. Broadway, Peru, Indiana 46970 Attn: Sgt. Samantha Raber. Applications must be turned in by Noon on November 16, 2017. Applications will not be accepted the day of testing. Applicants will perform a fitness test on November 18th. All applicants must sign a wavier of liability prior to taking the fitness test. Those who pass the fitness test will be eligible to take the written test following the fitness test.
