PERU,Indiana – Thursday evening, the Peru Parks Board held their monthly meeting at City Hall. The board approved to purchase a John Deer mower contingent to the Treasurer as where is the budget stands at this time. Pat Cox from Peru Municipal Golf Course says the golf course is off to a good start and have nine sponsors helping out.
The amphitheater project is on hold at this time and mowing was also discussed at West City Park. The two railroad cars that used to be the Siding restaurant had a public meeting earlier this week. The Parks Dept. has NOT been notified about moving the cars. Several possibilities regarding what to do with the railroad car were discussed during the meeting.
