PERU,Indiana – Last week a Peru man was sentenced to 23 years in prison on two counts of incest after he entered a guilty plea to Miami County Circuit Court. The Plea was accepted by the Court and David W. Wilkinson will serve 14 years and 166 days of the 23 year sentence in prison and the remaining 8 ½ years on probation. Back on May 19th of last year Wilkinson was arrested and charged with four counts of child molestation and four counts of incest. The lengthy case had many twists and turns over many months but in the end attorneys were able to present a plea deal which the judge accepted and the Peru man is off to prison.
