PERU, Ind. – Monday, November 14th, Peru Community Schools held their regular school board meeting at Elmwood Elementary School. Mike Schumaker, Senior Vice President, from City Securities Corporation, gave a presentation to the board on the Impact of a general obligation bonds for Peru Community Schools. 2016 became the baseline year for the protected tax waiver.

Peru Community Schools are looking to complete some projects, like the sports complex out by the Roxy, with lighting, a parking lot, and a walking track, also complete a problem at the Peru Junior High School involving the water pipes. At the high school, renovate the music, finance, art, and locker rooms. The total project comes to $1.9 million. The next Peru School board meeting is Monday, December 12th.
