Paul Forman discusses upcoming Light Up! Peru Parade on a Miami County Conversation

MIAMI COUNTY, IN- On this Sunday’s Miami County Conversation we hear from Paul Forman to discuss upcoming community events including the next Miami County Fairgrounds model train show/fundraiser and the Light Up! Peru Parade that kicks off the Peru Downtown Christmas Open House: (Audio)

Downtown Peru Christmas Open House 2021

November 17, 2021 at 6 pm

The parade route starts at The Depot on Canal Street then heads north on Broadway up to the Circus Building (6^th Street).  To be in the parade is FREE, but we do ask that you have some type of lights on your vehicle and some type of holiday decoration as well.  This year our decorating theme is your favorite Christmas Movie. Be creative! You may walk in the parade and hand out candy if you so choose to.  Just note that it is a fast pace walk to keep up with the vehicles and keep the parade flowing. We will have a firetruck with the Mayor at the front of the parade, and Santa on the McCrae train at the end of the parade.

Please make sure there are no other individuals dressed up as Santa in the parade, as we will have Santa at the end of the parade.

If you have a business in Miami County and want to place your name on the side of your vehicle or trailer, you are welcome to do so.
