Parkview Health opens multi-specialty clinic facility in Peru

MIAMI COUNTY, IN- Miami County residents will soon have new healthcare options for their families close to home. On Aug. 14, Parkview Health will open a multi-specialty clinic at 750 N. Broadway in Peru, Indiana.

The centrally located clinic encompasses spaces for a number of Parkview Physicians Group offices. This multi-specialty model – offering a variety of medical care services under one roof – is designed for patient convenience.

First to open are the Parkview Physicians Group (PPG) – Family Medicine and PPG – Pediatrics offices, and in the coming months, the clinic will continue to add both primary care providers and specialists. Laboratory services will be available for patients who have lab orders from Parkview providers.

“We are so pleased to be able to open this clinic and expand access to Parkview’s high-quality care for Peru and surrounding-area residents,” said Deb Potempa, market president, Parkview Health Southwest. “Some of the providers serving this clinic also have offices on the Parkview Wabash Hospital campus or in North Manchester, but we wanted to make it easier to see these expert providers for people who live on the Miami side of the Wabash-Miami county line.”

PPG – Family Medicine
PPG – Family Medicine providers are dedicated to providing comprehensive, quality care, partnering with patients to help each person maintain good health, prevent disease and treat illness appropriately. At the Peru office, same-day appointments will be available starting Aug. 14, making it easier to seek care for non-emergent illnesses or injuries.

The PPG – Family Medicine office is open 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. For questions or appointments, call 260-569-2120.

Rafael Nunez, MD, PPG – Pediatrics
Now scheduling appointments is Rafael Nunez, MD, PPG – Pediatrics. Beginning Aug. 15, Dr. Nunez will provide specialty pediatric care for patients on Tuesdays at this location. He also has a Wabash office in the Medical Office Building on the campus of Parkview Wabash Hospital, where he has served families for the past three years through the Parkview Wabash Rural Health Clinic.

Dr. Nunez joined Parkview in 2020 after relocating from New York City, where he completed his residency in pediatrics at Metropolitan Hospital Center. Prior to his specialty training, Nunez received his Doctor of Medicine degree, graduating magna cum laude, from the Universidad Autonoma de Santo Domingo, in the Dominican Republic.

Nunez grew up in the Dominican Republic and is fluent in both English and Spanish. He and his family have enjoyed putting down roots in Indiana, and he finds it fulfilling to build relationships with his patient families through the years.
