PERU – The Peru Police Department, along with hundreds of law enforcement agencies across the state of Indiana, will be participating in Operation Pull Over Blitz 92. The focus for the enforcement period is Safe Travel. Officers will be focusing on both seat belt and impaired driving enforcement. The enforcement period will take place from November 10th through December 3rd. The Thanksgiving holiday is one of the most busy times for Americans traveling on roadways. In 2015, 386 people died in the United States during the traditional four-day Thanksgiving weekend.
