GRANT COUNTY, IN- On June 12th at approximately 3:12 am, Grant County Centra Dispatch received a call in regards to shots fired at RD’s bar (1525 S McClure Street). Upon officers arrival they heard two more shots fired in the parking lot. Officers located spent shell casings and damaged vehicles.
Dispatch then updated officers advising that a shooting victim had arrived at Marion Health. The victim (Cortell Lockett, age27) sustained two gun shot wounds. Officers attempted to get a statement from the victim, but he was uncooperative at the time.
Officers located the vehicle that transported the victim to the hospital. Officer obtained a search warrant to collect evidence from the vehicle. Evidence was also collected at the scene.
This case is still an ongoing investigation.
