This from the Peru Police Department: PERU, IN- Congratulations to Officer Timothy Colwell on his graduation from the Indiana Law Enforcement Academy Monday evening. Officer Colwell graduated with Basic Class #224.
Officer Colwell was a member of the “A” Squad during his time at the academy. Class 224 “A” Squad was added to the “Warrior Squad” plaque at ILEA. A squad may be selected by instructors when exemplary traits are exhibited during the course of their breakout training. This does not occur very often, so it is considered an honor at the academy. The last squad who won this prestige was back in 2019.
Officer Colwell will return to the Peru Police Department to complete his field training. Upon successful completion of the FTO program, Officer Colwell will be the newest addition to the streets of Peru. Join us in congratulating Officer Colwell.
