North Manchester Patrolman Made Two Arrests in One Day

NORTH MANCHESTER, Ind. – On Saturday, January 28, 2017, North Manchester Patrolman Isaac Adams was a busy police officer. Around 4:34 am Officer Adams was on regular patrol in the 200 block of E. Main Street when he noticed a subject passed out behind the wheel of a vehicle. Officer Adams immediately investigated the situation. Adams was able to get Skyler W. Howard, 27, north Manchester to respond. While speaking with Howard, Officer Adams noticed paraphernalia lying beside Howard in the vehicle. A search warrant was obtained and with the assistance of Sgt. Nate Birch the vehicle was searched. Howard was arrested for Possession of paraphernalia, possession of Methamphetamine and maintaining a common nuisance.

At 9:56 pm, Officer Adams conducted a vehicle stop involving driver Shanda M. Spacy, 25, North Manchester. When Officer Adams requested Spacy’s operator’s license she refused to comply with the officer’s request. Spacy was arrested for resisting law enforcement, unlawful possession of a syringe, possession of synthetic/lookalike substance, refusal to identify to police, visiting/maintaining a common nuisance and possession paraphernalia. Sgt. Nate Birch and Patrolman Brian Hammons assisted on the stop.
