New Shows Announced at the Honeywell Center

WABASH, Ind. – The Honeywell Center is proud to announce the appearance of legendary performers coming to the Ford Theater stage. First on the list is Country Music icon, Willie Nelson, who will perform on Sat., June 3, 2017 at 7:30 p.m. Also scheduled to entertain is the ever-popular Country singer, Larry Gatlin, performing with the renowned Blackwood Quartet on Fri., Sept. 8 2017 at 7:30 p.m. Tickets go on sale on Fri., Feb. 24 at 10 a.m.

With a six-decade career and 200 plus albums, Willie Nelson is the creative genius behind the historic recordings of “Crazy”, “Red Headed Stranger”, and “Stardust”. Willie Nelson has earned every conceivable award as a musician and amassed reputable credentials as an author, actor, and activist. He continues to thrive as a relevant and progressive musical and cultural force. In the last five years alone he delivered 10 new album releases, released a Top 10 New York Times’ bestsellers book, and again headlined Farm Aid, an event he co-founded in 1985. On the strength of his songwriting talents, Larry Gatlin became known throughout the Nashville music industry for his rich falsetto singing style and for the unique pop-inflected songs he wrote and recorded in the 1970s and 1980s. Some of Gatlin’s biggest hits include “Broken Lady”, “All the Gold in California”, “Houston (Means I’m One Day Closer to You)”, “She Used to Be Somebody’s Baby”, and “Talkin’ to the Moon”.

The Blackwood Quartet have earned 9 Grammy Awards, 27 Dove Awards, 5 All American Awards, and have been inducted into the Gospel Music Hall of Fame. Ron Blackwood, the oldest living member of the Blackwood family, started the Blackwood Quartet in 1964. Today, The Blackwood Quartet is legendary in the Gospel music industry, celebrating 81 years in Gospel music. Tickets for Larry Gatlin and The Blackwood Quartet are $20, $30 and $75.
