Michigan Man Arrested in North Manchester for Fraud and Possession of Marijuana

NORTH MANCHESTER, Ind. – On December 8, 2017 at 5:30pm the North Manchester Police Department received a report from the Dollar General Store in North Manchester that they had a subject use five $100.00 counterfeit bills to purchase a Green dot debit card. The clerk realized fater he had left that the $100.00 bills had “Motion Picture Purpose” printed on the top of them. Officer Keith Whiting took the report. At 8pm the suspect was back in the store and the clerk called the police and the suspect got nervous and left. Officer Parker Stouffer and Officer Devin Bechtold made a traffic stop on the suspect vehicle by O’ Reilly Auto Parts. The suspect, Ramone A. Jones from Roseville, Michigan was taken to the North Manchester Police Department and questioned by Chief Kirk and Officer Whiting. The suspect was arrested for Fraud and possession of Marijuana. At the Wabash County jail, Deputy Sheriff Ryan Short advised they had found 7 more counterfeit $100.00 bills and the Green dot card which had been purchased earlier in his under garments. A criminal charge is only an accusation and the suspect is innocent until proven guilty.
