The Wabash County 4H Fair kicked off with the Miss Wabash County 4H Fair Pageant on Wednesday evening, July 6, at the Honeywell Center.
Nineteen contestants competed for the queen title, but it was Jordan Michel who stepped out of the line and walked toward the front of the stage, beaming, to hug 2015 Miss Wabash County Makayla Ridgeway, as she was crowned the 2016 Miss Wabash County Fair Queen.
Michel has been in the Miss Wabash County pageant for three years and believes that one of the most important things to remember during 4H is to have fun.
Michel’s 4H projects include agriculture, black and white photography, and gift wrapping.
She is excited to be able to be an advocate for the fair and for agriculture, as it is such a growing industry.
