MIAMI COUNTY, Ind. – Monday, February 13th, Miami County Substance Abuse Prevention Council met and selected “MORE OF MIAMI” as it’s new name. In general they want more help, more resources, and more substance free living. “MORE FOR MIAMI” wants the best for Miami County. The council went over the Community Assessment, which was due January 30th. The council sent a work draft plan to the state, as work plans to be implemented, such as communications strategy and programs.
Jennifer Yates talks about the three programs that they want to get started:
“MORE FOR MIAMI” will meet the last Monday of each from Noon until 1:00 p.m., a brown bag lunch, in room 201 D at the Miami County YMCA. “MORE FOR MIAMI” will have action teams, programs, and media campaigns. “MORE FOR MIAMI” needs your help and input.
