Miami County Stayed Relatively Safe During Storms

MIAMI COUNTY – Damage in Miami County was minor after storms went through Wednesday evening. A second set of storms rolled through to set off Big Bertha and send Peruvians to their basements, Wednesday evening.

Miami County Sheriff Tim Miller confirmed that the American Health Network off U.S. 24 near the intersection of Mexico road, lost a portion of the roof from building during the storms in Peru.

Kris Marks, Director of the Miami County Emergency Management Agency, confirmed damage and reported receiving word of several fields in Southern Miami County were damaged.

Dr. Mull was at work in his office when the storm hit his building, No one was injured, but Dr. Mull reported watching the roof come off over him.

Miami County Sheriff Tim Miller, stated Miami County is extremely thankful that no one was seriously injured or killed. Our hearts go out to the residents in Howard County.

Mr. Marks, says this is how storms are created and they can appear anytime, day or night. JUST BE PREPARED.
