WABASH COUNTY, Ind. – MSD of Wabash County is pleased to announce through the collaboration efforts of the Wabash County Council and Wabash County Sheriff’s Department, our schools will have School Resource Officers. Deputy Grant Langebartels will be in the south schools and Deputy Derek Leckrone will be in the north schools.
It is in the best interests of MSD of Wabash County and the citizens of Wabash County for the Sheriff’s Department and MSDWC to work together to provide a safe and secure educational environment, and to promote to students, staff, and the school community a positive image of law enforcement. The WCSD and MSD believe these goals will be reached by having School Resource Officers in the schools.
Superintendent Keaffaber wants to thank the Sheriff’s Department and the Wabash County Council for providing the Deputies.
