MARION,Indiana – A Marion man is a hero today after tackling a man on the run from Marion Police.  It all started around 10 Tuesday morning when Bobby Browder, a financial advisor at Edward Jones, was in the firm’s parking lot at 302 South Baldwin Avenue.  He saw a man running from police. The man identified as 20-year-old Dilion Miller, who police report as homeless, was driving a motor scooter through a parking lot with cops chasing after him.  Somehow he eluded police and as Browder stepped around the corner of the Edward Jones building Miller came running toward him after getting away from the police.

Browder tackled Miller to the ground and held him until police caught up. Miller apparently screamed “I give up! I give up!” as Browder held him on the ground until members of the Marion Police Department arrived. Police arrested Miller on a bunch of charges and hauled him off to the Grant County Jail. Captain John Kauffman thanked Browder for his heroic maneuver with Browder saying he was just in the right place at the right time and knew it was his moment to act.
