Marion Circle K Robbed Sunday Night

MARION,Indiana – A female clerk was robbed at gunpoint from the Circle K on the 900 block of East Bradford Street in Marion Sunday night. The robber, who police describe as a young, black male, was wearing a black sweatshirt, jeans and a mask. The man was carrying a black handgun and demanded even more money from the clerk after he grabbed the cash from the register. Police said that the man also took cigarillos and Newport cigarettes before we walked out of the store. The suspect did not fire his weapon and the clerk was not hurt.

Marion Police are looking at video surveillance footage of the robbery to try and identify the suspect. Sunday Night’s robbery represents the 17th of the year in the city of Marion. Marion Police Department Deputy Chief Stephen Dorsey said that the number of robberies actually increase during the fall months and around Christmas time. The Marion Police Department investigated 49 robberies in 2015 and 41 in 2014.
