Manchester Jr-Sr High School Finishes Fourth in the State in Vocabulary Bowl

NORTH MANCHESTER, Ind. — Manchester Jr-Sr High School students competed in the 2016-17 Vocabulary Bowl, sponsored by Vocabulary.com, and finished fourth in Indiana and 99th in the nation by mastering 52,028 words. Finishing in the top 100 nationally is quite the accomplishment, as more than 38,000 schools participated with upwards of 970,000 students.

The following teachers encouraged their students to consistently engage on Vocabulary.com: Emily Ludwig, Jennifer Reichenbach, Heidi Slavkin, Rhonda Snover, and David Zinsmeister. Their guidance and emphasis on the importance of academic vocabulary is appreciated and very deserving of recognition.
