MIAMI COUNTY, Indiana – A couple from Macy are in big trouble after playing what police are describing as an online version of “Naughty Truth or Dare” which involved nudity and multiple sex acts. Thirty-year-old Michael J. Wettstein, 285 North Allen Street, Macy, and his live-in girlfriend, 23-year-old Kara Lynn Newell, are both charged because they played the game with a 12-year-old minor dependent child. Wettstein, who was arrested just this morning, is being held in the Miami County Jail on felony charges of Child Molesting, Performing Sexual Acts in the Presence of a Minor and Neglect of a Dependent Child. He is also accused of touching the child during the game and offering him marijuana . His bond is currently set at $20,000.
Newell, who was arrested on Friday, has been charged with one count of performing sexual conduct in the presence of a minor, and one count of neglect of a dependent child. She was released from the Miami County Jail on a $10,000 cash bond, Saturday.
Numerous deputies from the Miami County Sheriff’s Department and the Miami County Department of Child Services participated in the investigation, which is ongoing. Police report the incident took place last month. The investigation by the Miami County Department of Child Services is still ongoing.
