The Macy-Allen Township Fire Department is in the process of raising funds in conjunction with obtaining a $550,000 construction grant to build a much needed new fire station. The town of Macy is applying for the grant from the Office of Community and Rural Affairs and is due by July 20th. One stipulation for the application to be accepted though is a ten percent local match on the grant, which would make the town’s share $50,000. Here is Fire Chief Russ Oberg with more:
The Macy Fire Department will be hosting a fish and tenderloin dinner this Saturday, April 28th, from 4-7pm at the Macy Community Center Building and all proceeds from the dinner will go towards funding the new fire station.
