Road reconstruction will take place between US 24 and Grant Street
WABASH – The City of Wabash announces that road reconstruction is scheduled for North Wabash Street between US 24 and Grant Street. The southbound lane of North Wabash Street is expected to close on or after Monday, July 17, weather permitting. The northbound lane will be ONE WAY northbound. Southbound traffic is prohibited during construction.
Access to homes and businesses will be maintained throughout the work. The official detour for the closure will be North Alber Street, Harrison Street, and North Manchester Avenue. The lane will be closed and construction will be ongoing for 110 calendar days during the work.
Work on the roadway is expected to be complete by early November, weather permitting. The contract was awarded to E&B Paving, Inc. for $2,226,019.48. This project is funded partially by a $1,000,000.00 Community Crossings Matching Grant award.
