This from the Kokomo Police Department: KOKOMO, IN- On October 25, 2020 at about 4:14 p.m. KPD responded to the alley in the 1200 block of West Taylor Street in reference to an unconscious and unresponsive person. Upon arrival, officers located a deceased female who was later identified as Elizabeth Rodriguez, age 40 of Kokomo.
As a result of the investigation, KPD detectives arrested James M. Charles age 28 of Kokomo, for one count of Murder.
While the investigation has been ongoing, surveillance video in the area revealed James Charles at about 9:25 a.m. on October 25, 2020 walking near the area where Rodriguez’s body was later located. Charles appears to be in the company of two other unknown people (red jacket and black jacket). Investigators are asking for help in identifying these two unknown individuals.
