Kaden Vogel wins Indiana Elks Association Hoop Shoot State Finals

NEW CASTLE – The third time was the charm for Kaden Vogel.
Kaden hit 24 of 25 free throws Saturday morning to win the boys 12-13 year old division of the Indiana Elks Association Hoop Shoot state finals. This was the third straight year he appeared in the state finals.

He now advances to the regional competition on March 16 in Angola. There, youth from Indiana, Michigan and Ohio will compete to advance to the Hoop Shoot national finals in April in Chicago.
In addition to winning the state championship for his age division, he also was the recipient of the Marvin Buck award for the boys division. That award goes to the shooter in any age division who makes the most baskets.
The Northeast District, of which the Wabash Lodge is a member, also won the award for having the highest free throw shooting percentage among all the districts.
