JOINT EFFORT AGAINST NARCOTICS JEAN TEAM DRUG TASK FORCE

GRANT COUNTY, Ind. – Over the past 3 days, the JEAN Team Drug Task Force has arrested 11 people in connection to methamphetamine and heroin sales in Grant County.  Approximately a half a pound of methamphetamine was seized along with heroin.  The street value of the drugs is close to $20,000.

On June 11, 2018 at approximately 1:40 P.M., Detectives from the Joint Effort

Against Narcotics Team (JEAN Team), and the Grant County Sheriff’s Department stopped a Black Dodge Charger driving northbound on SR37 in the area of Rigden.  It was found that Chad Elkins, 27 and Cordeddria Wingate, 23were in the vehicle and to be in possession of a large amount of Methamphetamine. A search warrant was then executed at Chad Elkins residence at 2130 S. Washington Street, as a result of the ongoing investigation.  Located in the residence was a large amount of heroin and a small bag of marijuana.  Mr. Elkins and Ms. Wingate were both arrested as a result of this investigation, charges range from possession of methamphetamine to Possession of Methamphetamine with intent to deliver. Mr. Elkins is suspected of trafficking illegal narcotics into Grant County.  Brooke McCall is the property owner of 2130 S. Washington St.

On June 13, 2018 at approximately 3:00 A.M., Detectives from the Joint Effort Against Narcotics Team (JEAN Team), Grant County Sheriff’s Deputies and Marion Police Officers conducted an investigation into illegal narcotics at 3008 S. Race St. in Marion, Grant County, Indiana.  During the investigation, Detectives arrested Orval Hueston, 40, Terry Russell Jr., 34, Chelsea Eccles, 33, Bobbi Bilby, 22 and Zachary Lawson, 25, leaving the residence.  Their charges range from possession of methamphetamine with the intent to deliver to possession of a syringe.  Caleb Rigney, 20 was arrested for possession of methamphetamine upon leaving the residence.  A short time later a search warrant was executed at 3008 S. Race St. and Zackary Nealis, 28 and Sarah LeBlac, 35 were arrested from that residence.  Methamphetamine and other illegal narcotics were found in the residence.  Their charges range from dealing in methamphetamine to neglect of a dependent. 3008 S. Race St. is owned by the 3008 S. Race St. Land Trust.

This investigation is ongoing.
