Jailbreak 4 announced with the Peru Police Department

PERU, IN- The Peru Police Department will be conducting the annual fundraiser “Jailbreak” for the fourth consecutive year. This year’s “Jailbreak” will take place on June 30th, 2021. Interested participants will be “charged with a crime” of their choice. Participants will be provided a “WANTED” poster featuring their character and crime. On June 30th, members of the Peru Police Department will be picking up the “felons” and incarcerating them in a jail cell at City Hall. All participants have a $200 bond which they may raise from within the confines of the cell once they’ve been booked in. Participants may also have their bond raised PRIOR to being captured, however, if someone donates AGAINST your bond (no less than $20 keeps you in longer), you must make up the amount against you to post bail.

Interested participants may contact Sgt. Mitchell at dmitchell@perupd.org. Please do so ASAP as it takes time to get you scheduled and promote your character. If you would like to participate and are not free on June 30th, arrangements may be made to shoot your capture video prior to June 30th. Keep in mind that participation on the day of the event is preferred, however, Sgt. Mitchell will work with you if another day works better for you.
If you reside in an adjoining county to Miami County and would like to participate but cannot come the day of the event, Sgt. Mitchell will come to you to shoot your capture video if you would like. Juveniles are permitted to participate with their parents permission.
Proceeds from this year’s Jailbreak will benefit the Miami County F.O.P. which has programs such as Christmas for Kids and Scholarships as well as the Peru Police Department Honor Guard Program.
Register today and watch the events unfold LIVE on the Peru Police Department Facebook page on June 30th, 2021.
