MIAMI COUNTY, IN- The Indiana Department of Transportation has announced herbicide treatments are scheduled throughout Miami County beginning Tuesday, weather permitting. Motorists may encounter slow-moving vehicles on state and federal roadways, as crews work to spray more than 4,000 acres of state right-of-way for invasive/noxious weeds throughout the Fort Wayne INDOT district. With effective herbicide applications, INDOT says it can improve roadside appearance while reducing costs to taxpayers. Roadways in Miami County to be treated include: Indiana 16, Indiana 18, Indiana 19, Indiana 124 and Indiana 218. This project was awarded to The Daltons for $147,000 and is expected to be completed by early October.
