Indiana State Police Peru Post Employees Receive Service Awards

PERU, Ind. – Yesterday, Lieutenant Jeremy Kelly, district commander of the Indiana State Police Peru Post, recognized multiple Indiana State Police employees for their continued excellent service to the community during a meeting of the Indiana State Police at the Peru Post.

Master Trooper Donnie White of Grant County was recognized for 600,000 safe driving miles. Senior Trooper Bart Stouffer, Wabash County, was recognized for 500,000 safe driving miles. Senior Trooper Ron Fisher, Howard County, was recognized for 350,000 safe driving miles. Trooper A.J. Coffee, Grant County, was recognized for 250,000 safe driving miles.

Senior Trooper Chris Miller, Cass County, was recognized for 10 years of continuous service with the Indiana State Police Department.

Troopers drive their police cars approximately 40,000 miles per year. They are recognized for safe driving starting at 50,000 miles. Indiana State Police employees are recognized for years of service every five years.

Ten troopers were recognized for the work they performed, in July, as part of the multi-agency security detail for the Republic National Convention in Cleveland, OH. They were each presented with a certificate of recognition signed by Ohio Governor John Kasich and Ohio Lt Governor Mary Taylor. The 10 troopers assigned to the Republic National Convention security detail were Captain Ed Schroder, Sergeant Brian Dormer, Master Trooper Donnie White, Senior Trooper Bart Stouffer, Trooper Todd Trottier, Trooper Eric Treon, Trooper Chuck Meyer, Trooper Adam York, Trooper A.J. Coffee, and Trooper Adam Moor.

Also at the meeting, the Indiana State Police Peru Post employee’s held their first ever “Peru Post Chili Cook-Off.” There were nine entries with Detective Wendell Beachy winning bragging rights with his
homemade chili.
