WABASH, IN– Honeywell Arts & Entertainment has released its 2022 Annual Report, showcasing a year of significant growth and success. The Annual Report exhibits the organization’s increasing reach through programs, services, and live entertainment that have enriched the lives of thousands in Wabash and across the region. Honeywell Arts & Entertainment venues include the Honeywell Center, Eagles Theatre, Honeywell House, Charley Creek Gardens, Dr. Ford Historic Home, 13-24 Drive In, and the Clarkson House.
Honeywell President and CEO Tod Minnich and 2022 Honeywell Board Chair Howard Halderman state, “We are incredibly grateful to present this summary of another successful year! We hope these highlights emphasize the impact you have on so many people by either being a donor or supporting us by attending our many arts opportunities. We truly appreciate your support.”
Live performances remain a cornerstone of the Honeywell Arts & Entertainment experience, with 129 shows held in 2022 at the Honeywell Center, Eagles Theatre, and seven partner venues across Indiana and Ohio. Honeywell Arts & Entertainment partners with eleven venues today. With shows spanning multiple genres, there was something for everyone. Over 101,200 tickets were sold for live performances across all venues. Of the attendees to the Honeywell Center, 81% of ticket buyers came from outside Wabash County, furthering the impact on the local area.
One of the key areas highlighted in the report is Honeywell Arts In Education, a collection of programs created for educators to bring the benefits of the arts into the classroom. The programs are available to educators at little or no cost to schools, allowing all students to participate. The Honeywell Arts In Education initiative provided 49,000 student interactions across 14 counties and 83 schools in Indiana. Programs included Visual Thinking Strategies, student art exhibits, curriculum-based theater performances, and an accredited media arts program for high school students.
Honeywell Arts & Entertainment also offered a range of arts and enrichment programs throughout 2022, including Summer Theater Camp with 89 student participants, Summer Art Camp with 119 student participants, and 11 visual art exhibits featuring works by student, amateur, and professional artists throughout the year.
In addition, Honeywell Arts & Entertainment continued to provide popular movie showings, selling 38,400 tickets and 10,700 buckets of popcorn. The organization also hosted 360 business meetings and events, 198 skating and movie parties, and 31 wedding celebrations.
The Honeywell Arts Academy was another significant highlight of the year, providing full-scholarship institutes for emerging musicians led by GRAMMY-winning Artistic Director Ranaan Meyer and world-renowned faculty. The Academy attracts global talent and has hosted scholars from Canada, Mexico, China, Finland, Romania, United Kingdom, and the United States.
Honeywell Arts & Entertainment is made possible thanks to generous donor support, with contributions exceeding $1,000,000 in 2022. The organization’s 124 volunteers donated 9,600 hours in 2022, alongside 49 full-time and 92 part-time team members. As a result, the budget has more than doubled since 2015. This financial success has led to the growth shown in this report: further reach for live entertainment, more student art opportunities, and a larger economic impact on the region.
As Honeywell Arts & Entertainment looks to the future, the stage is set to continue its growth, success, and impact. For more information on Honeywell Arts & Entertainment’s 2022 Annual Report, visit honeywellarts.org/2022.
