Flying trapeze act makes history

This from fortwaynenbc.com: PERU, IN- (Fort Wayne’s NBC) — A 19-year-old college student who has performed with the youth circus in Peru, Indiana for 12 years just made history as part of the flying trapeze act.

Not only is Courtlynn Crowe the first-ever female flying trapeze catcher in the history of the youth organization, but she and fellow performer, 16-year-old Hannah Yoo, accomplished something never accomplished before, there.

Friday morning at practice, Crowe caught her first-ever double somersault, performed by Yoo.

Evening anchor Linda Jackson grew up in Peru and performed in the circus, also completing a double somersault on the flying trapeze.

Each year, she tries to bring viewers of Fort Wayne’s NBC News unique stories about that special place in her life, and this year?

Telling everyone about these young ladies’ accomplishment was a natural story to tell!
