HUNTINGTON, Ind. – On Friday March 29, 2019 at 5:11 PM officers responded to the report of a shooting in the 200 block of Riverside Drive. Upon arrival, officers found Brandon Lee Olivares of Huntington inside a trailer suffering from a single gunshot wound to the chest. Olivares was pronounced dead at the scene. Individuals present at the time of the shooting were transported to the Huntington Police Annex to speak with Detectives.
On Sunday March 31, 2019 an autopsy was performed at the Northeast Indiana Forensic Center.
At this time all parties involved have been identified and interviewed. This case is still under investigation by the Huntington Police Department
The Huntington Police Department was assisted by the Huntington Fire Department, Huntington County Sheriff’s Department, Indiana State Police, Parkview Huntington Hospital, Huntington County Coroner’s Office and the Huntington County Prosecutor’s Office.
