PERU – Thursday evening, Peru Parks Board held their monthly meeting at City Hall. Peru Junior High School and Peru High School came to the board requesting a Cross Country route at South Peru and Maconaquah Park. The High School runners run at 5K and the Junior High runs a 3K. Peru Junior High Cross Country Team will run two meets, September 13th and 29th at Maconaquah Park. Harvesting Capabilities is working on a handicap accessible playground by Miami’s Fort. A benefit concert for Mark Olson at the Ampitheatre on Saturday 17th from NOON until 10 p.m. Farm to Fork Dinner will be held on the Patio at the Riverview Event Center, on Sunday, October 9th. Steve Anderson is working on a Skate Park competition with vendors and contests for everyone. Peru Parks Board will meet in Executive Session at 8 a.m. on Saturday, September 17th, followed by a public meeting at 9 a.m.
