Mr. Thomison was hired in 2013, as the Marshall of Bunker Hill.  He didn’t want to leave the department, but “the longer I stay here, the harder it is to get anything done.   It’s time to step away and do something else”.  Mr. Thomison stated that the Town Board asked him to be “involved in illegal, unethical, and immoral things overtime”. He continued,  “I have had to educate them on things they are asking from me and explained that I would not take part in any of these actions.  The town of Bunker Hill has refused to educate themselves on how to run a town.  They continue to carry out their personal agendas to either run off the police department or make it so that it is impossible to work with or for them”.  With NO police department in Bunker Hill Miami County Sheriff Tim Miller said the County Deputies will patrol the Town of Bunker Hill and respond to calls to ensure residents are protected in Bunker Hill until a new Marshall is hired.  Council Vice President Jim Panther resigned. He sited personal reasons for his decision. A special meeting is scheduled for 5:00 p.m., Monday December 19th at the Bunker Hill Town Hall.
