HOWARD COUNTY, Ind. – The Kokomo Tribune reported the Howard County Sheriff’s Department is investigating a case involving a dead body discovered in a field Sunday evening. Howard County Sheriff’s Deputies and medical personnel were dispatched at approximately 7:24 PM Sunday to the area of 1200 E. and 400 S. for an unconscious, unresponsive male. The subject had been located near a field by a local resident who was working in the area. Medics arrived and upon examination pronounced the subject deceased according to a press release from the Sheriffs Department. An autopsy will be scheduled by the Howard County Coroner’s Office to assist in identifying the deceased and the cause of death. The case remains under Investigation by the Howard County Coroner’s Office and the Howard County Sheriff’s Department according to the release. The Indiana State Police and the Howard County Emergency Management assisted at the scene.
