American Machining Company to celebrate new Urbana location


WABASH COUNTY, IN – Grow Wabash County is thrilled to welcome American
Machining Company (AMC) to Wabash County’s manufacturing community. To celebrate the
company’s grand opening, Grow Wabash County will host a ribbon cutting ceremony on
Tuesday, Sept. 26, at 9 a.m. for their new Urbana location at 151 N. Washington Street.
“With growing up in Wabash County I am very excited to come back ‘Home’ and be able to
start a manufacturing company where I grew up,” Joe Beard, general manager of AMC, said.
AMC is a precision machine shop specializing in making parts for the hunting industry. Their
current machining capabilities are 3-Axis CNC Mill, CNC Lathe, and Swiss Lathe machining. In
addition to machining, AMC also offers fabrication applications and prototyping.
“Wabash County is proud of its local manufacturing industry,” Keith Gillenwater, president
and CEO of Grow Wabash County, said. “We make good stuff in Wabash County and we are
thrilled to welcome American Machining Company to the community. It is especially exciting
knowing that this company is being led by a Wabash County native who has chosen to operate
this business in his hometown.”
The ribbon cutting will take place at 9 a.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 26, at 151 N. Washington Street
in Urbana, IN.
