Alex Peterson Crowned 2018 Wabash County Festivals Queen

WABASH COUNTY, Ind. – On Friday evening the 2018 Wabash County Festivals Queen was crowned by Alyson Gouveia, the 2017 Wabash County Festivals Queen and the 2018 Indiana State Festivals Queen.
Winning the crown was Alex Peterson.  Alex is a 2015 Graduate of Northfield High School. This she fall will be a Senior at DePauw University, studying Biology and Global Health.  Alex is the daughter of Beverly Dawald and Jeffery Peterson.
1st Place Runner up went to Emilly Martin.  Emily is a Senior at Wabash HIgh School and the daughter of Heidi Martin and Joshua Martin.
2nd Runner up is Danielle Sparling.  Danielle is a 2016 graduate of Southwood High School.  This fall Danielle will be a Junior at the University of Indianapolis.  She is majoring in Nursing.  Danielle’s parents are Dan and MIchelle Sparling.
3rd Runner up and Miss Friendship is Mariah Kirtlan.  Mariah is a 2018 graduate of Northfield High School.  This fall she will be a Freshman at IPFW.  Her major will be Nursing.  Mariah is the daughter of Scott and Sandi Kirtlan.
The Directors Award Winner is Katie Jones.  Katie is a 2018 graduate of Southwood High School.  This fall she will be a Freshman at IU Kokomo.  Her major is marketing.  Katie is the daughter of Ron Jones and Jennifer Nestleroad.
Entertainment for the pageant was performed by Jenna Schmidt, Noblesville and Kaia Holsman of Fishers.  Both young ladies danced.
This year the Pageant welcomed two new directors to join Bev Vanderpool and Kara Fulmer.  The new directors are Teresa Ridgeway and Patty Meagher.
