2023 Dinner and Chamber Music Series set for Honeywell House

WABASH, IN – Honeywell Arts & Entertainment’s 2023 Gourmet Dinner & Chamber
Music Series launches February 16 with the first in a three-event series when pianist
Alyssa Smith and vocalist Arielle Kasnetz perform at the Honeywell House. The series,
which features intimate musical performances followed by multi-course fine dining, is
sponsored by Douglas C. Lehman P.C. and by Minda Lehman in memory of her mother,
Velva Powell. The series also includes cellist Anita Graef and pianist Louise Chan in
concert on March 23 and pianist Norma Meyer is scheduled on April 27.

Pianist Alyssa Smith and vocalist Arielle Kasnetz – Thursday, February 16, at 6
p.m.

Honeywell Arts Academy alumni Arielle Kasnetz and Alyssa Smith reunite to perform
favorite selections from each performer’s repertoire. Kasnetz, a New Jersey native,
currently lives in Los Angeles, and Smith, a native of Wisconsin, is pursuing a master’s
degree in jazz and contemporary improvisation at the University of Michigan. The
evening will consist of original music and jazz standards.

Menu: black-eyed pea salad with champagne vinaigrette over Bibb lettuce; beef filet
with polenta and wild mushroom jus; green beans with pine nuts; and crème brûlée for
dessert. Coffee, tea, and water are included, with other beverages available for
purchase.

Cellist Anita Graef and pianist Louise Chan – Thursday, March 23, 6 p.m.
Anita Graef and Louise Chan will perform selections by Rachmaninoff, Brahms, and
Amy Beach. Graef is a soloist, orchestra musician and educator with notable
appearances including Carnegie Hall’s Weill Recital Hall, the Dame Myra Hess
Memorial Concert series, and Concerts from the Library of Congress. She recently
made her New York debut with the Riverside Symphony, and has performed at the
Museum of Fine Arts St. Petersburg, and Ojai’s Chamber on the Mountain. Chan, a
native of Ottawa, Canada, is a versatile classical pianist, chamber musician, orchestral
keyboardist and music educator. She is a founding member of the Blue Violet Duo with
violinist Kate Carter. The duo has enjoyed repeat performances at the Dame Myra Hess
Memorial Concert Series.

Menu: spinach salad with balsamic caramelized shallots and goat cheese; grilled
swordfish with warm Asian slaw; rice pilaf; and chocolate espresso pot de crème for
dessert. Coffee, tea, and water are included, with other beverages available for
purchase.

Pianist Norma Meyer – Thursday, April 27, 6 p.m.
Norma Meyer, a Wabash favorite from Wabass and A Grand Time, will present a solo
recital featuring Bach E major Partita # 6 and Ibert Histoires. Meyer was a founding
member of quartet piano4 and a school orchestra director for more than 20 years. She
continues her lifelong commitment to music education through teaching and outreach
programs as an accompanist and collaborative coach.

Menu: watercress salad with honey vinaigrette, chevre cheese, and crispy beets;
roasted duck breast with strawberry port reduction; smashed potatoes; asparagus; and
a poached pear for dessert. Coffee, tea, and water are included, with other beverages
available for purchase.
