Saturday, October 15th the 1st Annual Skateboard Contest was held at the Peru Skate Park. Several people turned out to see the kids compete.
Winners included:
Beginners: 1st- Jaben Selph, 2nd- Isaac Schwartz, 3rd- Brett Chandler
Intermediate: 1st- Henry Johnson, 2nd- Dayton Foust, 3rd- Canyon Gardner
Advanced: 1st- A.J. Nelson, 2nd- Austin Curry, 3rd- Bailey Doolin, 4th- Grado McFarland, Austin Curry won the Best Trick Award.
After the awards ceremony Mark Ramsey was able to talked to some of the winners
Mr. Anderson says this was the first time for a lot of the kids to compete and they all enjoyed the day. Thanks to everyone that turned out to support the kids.
