Waypoint, a non-profit organization located at 189 N. Wabash Street in Wabash, Indiana, is a transitional living recovery residence for women. Established in 2021, the non-profit organization is led by a volunteer board of directors dedicated to promoting healthy lifestyles for individuals living in sobriety. The historical home can house up to 12 women at one time, the house provides a break from the chaos of life in the form of safety and structure.
“The positive impact Waypoint has on the lives of the women it supports is extraordinary, said Jackie Helser, executive director at Waypoint. “Continued support from donors and fundraising events like the Kickball Tournament is crucial for sustaining the valuable programs Waypoint provides.”
The Kickball Tournament event will be held outdoors at The Field of Dreams with the first game starting at 10 AM and the coaches meeting at 9:45 AM. Co-ed teams of 9 or more are required with more than 4 women on the field at a time. Rain or shine, teams will battle it out for bragging rights as this year’s kickball champs! Individuals or sponsors are encouraged to sponsor teams, much like a golf tournament. Team registration is $600 and all gifts to Waypoint are tax deductible. For those who are not able to play, there are other opportunities to support the annual fundraising event. The public is invited to sponsor a team or make a donation to the organization.
“The Waypoint website is ready to accept team registrations, sponsorship, and donations,” said Helser. “The kickball committee is anxious to see the creativity of the team’s themes and costumes while we raise funds and awareness about the impact on the community”
